Sustainability at Our Steel Rod Mill
Home to one of the largest Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) in North America, our steel rod mill turns scrap steel into molten liquid for further processing into steel goods – all with sustainability in mind. For example, steel rods are further processed by our U.S. Spring business into steel coil mattress innersprings, that use 94% recycled scrap steel content.
